Yesterday, I posted about my latest kiln, no. 83 and showed the winner which was this footed bowl with a ceramic frog and flowers arranged by Christina at Seahurst Cabinetry & Design in Burien. So I thought it would be fun with a little throwback to January when they had their grand opening and show you the collaboration we did for their reception with my ceramics which Christina tricked out with fresh florals displayed with her cabinetry vignettes at the shop.
You can still go there to see our vignettes with her beautiful cabinetry.
Here is how it looked with all the florals, fruit and vegetables, which Christina had masterfully arranged for the occasion.
First let's hear it for this fantastic green cabinet color. I mean....
I made the donut candlestick and the match jar. Find a close up of the florals and bowls further down the post.
Check out those king proteas. This is one of my favorite flowers. They are so majestic. I love that. And another one of my new designs: a donut candlestick. Behind it a large fruit bowl. Or next to it, depending on the picture you look at.
On the left is a part of a mudroom vignette with one of my vases next to a footed deep plate. On the right are more Proteas, this time in my matte beige speckled vase. I just can not get over this particular color combo.
Next we have the most gorgeous Hellebores which Christina beautifully arranged in one of my footed bowls. Here seen next to a set of my candlesticks.
Over by one of the kitchen vignettes by the sink we have my scrub brush in a fluted bowl and on the wall is one of my "wall flower" wall hangings. On the other side is one of my oil cruets and a herb plate for grating garlic and stripping leaves from herbs.
Here is the set from above, in a close-up, of my footed white bowls beautifully arranged with pears and a wildflower looking arrangement. The thistles are just next level. Gah!
A footed plate with miniature daffodil bulbs. What else do you really need? Beside it is one of my candlesticks and one of my brand new double layer flower drip catchers. I went back a couple of days later and got a shot after the daffs bloomed. They did not disappoint.
Last flower arrangement is the new one that just got out of my kiln. I asked if Christina could style it up in her store and boy did she deliver. This looks amazing. The idea with this is that you make the arrangement a bit airy so the flower frog is still visible and part of the design rather than hidden away like a traditional flower frog.
Rounding out this cavalcade of images is a shot of the spectacular charcuterie board that was served at her opening, just because it was so stylin' too and the salami rose still fitting in with the flower theme and all. Right?
And last but certainly not least is Christina herself (hi!) Thank you so much for doing this fun collaboration with me. It was the most fun! Can we do it every week? Ha ha.
By itself, the thumbnail of this post, one more time. Next to the flowers is my new magnolia candlestick. This was from kiln 80.
Ok, thx, bye.
