This Saturday was all about the Christmas markets and I was at - not one - but TWO markets at the same time. A four-way stretch of my current logistic capabilities. Here is how it went.
It began Friday morning when we drove over to the Cove in Normandy Park to do a pre-setup. Tablecloths, banner, packaging table, shelving. That way we were prepared for Saturday morning which only gave us one hour of set up time. That is tight when you are dealing in ceramics.
Next, we went to Moshier in Burien to set up there. Moshier is practically family, so we could set up everything there, including ceramics which we did. Here, everything is set up and ready to go.
Home decor to the left, Christmas ornaments to the right.
With Moshier all set up we could head back and reload the car for next morning.
Here is next morning at the Cove with the table set up and ready to go.
We had such a great day with lots of traffic and many people bought my ceramics. It was so great to talk with everyone. I really enjoy that part of it. And to see people interacting with, and reacting to my ceramics.
Here are just a couple of pictures of people who came by. The two young women on the left stood out as they had shopped at Moshier first, Then came over to the Cove AND they were repeat buyers from an earlier sale. I now call them my regulars. On the right I bonded with my new bestie over this vase and a couple of other things, a few of which were wrapped up and taken home.
Here is a flavor of the crowd at the Cove.
And a flavor of a few of the other vendors. It's a slide show. If you wait a few seconds, it starts going if your mouse isn't over it. What a great day!
Both markets ended at 3 pm. I quickly went to Moshier to take everything down and luckily I had almost sold out, so it was a quick job. Frank (husband) stayed at the Cove to take down there and was equally quick, so we were both back home at the same time.
Thank you so much to everyone who came out to support either / or BOTH! markets. I so appreciate it. As fun as it is to make ceramics, it is even more fun when someone loves it enough to take it home with them.
This was my last Christmas market for 2023. I am already planning the beginning of 2024 and all the ideas I have for things I want to make. Can't wait.
